We run Helen O'Grady drama classes in Cumbria and North Lancs for children from 5 years old to 17 years old. The classes are split into three age groups; Lower Primary, for 5 – 8 year olds, Upper Primary for 9 – 11 year olds and Youth Theatre classes for secondary school pupils.

Classes are available across the Cumbria and North Lancashire region including: Barrow, Barrow Hawcoat, Carlisle, Casterton, Cockermouth, Dalton in Furness, Kendal, Keswick, Kirkby Lonsdale, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Silverdale, Ulverston, Walney Island, Whitehaven, Workington and, from September 2008, Wigton and Appleby. These aims are achieved through energetic and thoroughly enjoyable, weekly, one-hour classes. Our drama classes operate during term time only.

EXCITING DRAMA CLASSES

Each lesson is carefully planned. Our award winning curriculum includes introductory activities, speech, verbal dynamics, creative movement, dance drama, language development, structured improvisation, dialogue development, snippets, scene starters, mini-scripts, parent day presentations, end of year productions. Above all, our drama classes are fun!

All Principals and teachers have undergone extensive training in Helen O'Grady curriculum and teaching methods. All teachers have an enhanced Criminal Record Bureau check in place. Joanne Tomlin, the Principal visits classes regularly, monitoring children's development and providing ongoing support for the teachers. Each drama class stimulates students to be fully involved, motivated and give of their best.
